Through the month of October we were lucky enough to be put on placement with Learning Services, which not only took us here, there, and everywhere around Scotland, but also allowed us to experience the amazing work the Historic Environment Scotland learning team does to promote heritage education within different contexts, age-groups, and foci. I’m looking forward to seeing the team from the National Trust for Scotland again, I had such a great time working with them all. As part of our Skills for the Future programme, we have been working on developing a showcasing event at Edinburgh Castle. The idea is to demonstrate the skills and experience we’ve gained over the five months that we’ve been working with the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland. Our audience is going to be a number of representatives from heritage organisations, who could potentially be our future employers!
