Since returning from our placements, the other Education Trainees and I have been busy readjusting to life back at the RCAHMS office. We have also been getting started on new projects as part of the next chapter of our traineeships here. Life at the LearningLAB

  I write this whilst sat on a beanbag on the floor of Stirling Castle’s LearningLAB. The space still echoes from the shrieks, cheers and laughs from another exited group of school children. I am just at the end of my fifth week with Historic Scotland and am immersed in the world of heritage education. The World of Scran

The Education trainees (Aisha, Sharon, Will and I) have spent the last 4 weeks working with Scran. Managed by RCAHMS, Scran is a charity that provides educational access to around 350,000 digital resources including images, text, videos and audio clips. With resources from museums, galleries, archives and the media, it is one of the largest educational online services in the UK.
